My morning "Oh No She Di'int" moment

Renée Montagne, on the phone with someone analyzing the London underground evacuations:

Him: People are in a panic, with reports of trampling other people to get out.
Her: Well, the panic is justified.

She didn't seem to get that though justified, people might be getting hurt because of the chaos. Thus, I don't think she understood the intent of what he was trying to report.

Duh.

I hear a lot of dopey ass comments from newsreporters on both cable and radio. I think there's a tendency to fill silence with SOMETHING.. even if it's the obvious.

Just remember.. it's even worse on FOX... ;)

Oh gods I know! I've isolated myself from cable news so much that just a minute of it is irksome and downright offensive to my intelligence!

I'm not trying to be hard on her, I just had to roll my eyes :)

Ha! Whenever the hosts of ME screw up (and even sometimes when they don't) I think to myself WWBD -- what would Bob do?

And the answer is always "not that!"
